**Job Title**: Supply Chain Manager
**Reports To**: Director, Supply Chain
**Department**: Supply Chain
**Purpose of Position/Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Planning ownership of assigned products
- Interaction with internal supply sources for product availability status/updates
- Coordinate mitigation as required
- Lead S&OP process
- Collaboratively review historical sales, research demand events, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast performance with stakeholders
- Work directly with Commercial and Finance monthly to coordinate all demand planning activities aligned with the creation/maintenance of a consensus 24-month rolling sales forecast
- Use statistical modeling in Manugistics and other Excel-based tools and analytics to generate the baseline demand forecast
- Utilize and maintain a Manugistics planning system to initiate new item setup, generate statistical forecasts, review forecast models and properties, and perform ad hoc forecast adjustments
- Understand the product lifecycle of the portfolio, from new launch to rationalization, and support forecasting of pipeline customer inventory requirements and projected ongoing demand
- Collect, reconcile, and analyze data to independently conduct demand/supply analytics and provide insights on trends, future demand, inventory movement, obsolescence, capacity, and backorders
- Monitor KPIs, including forecast accuracy and bias, and have a strong understanding of issues/gaps in targets while leading initiatives for improvement
- Achieve a high level of customer service for all product lines, while managing inventory levels to ensure alignment with targets
- Convert Demand Forecast into a Production Forecast for finished goods
- Develop a Supply Planning deck for all products
- Execute monthly supply planning to generate a rolling 24-month production forecast using typical planning parameters
- Create purchase orders to supply network for products and additional services
- Monitor Gross Factory Sales to react quickly to under / over-forecasted finished goods
- Develop recovery plans on actual/potential stock-outs due to under-forecasting or late deliveries
- Recommend requests for expedited shipping to/from suppliers and manufacturers
- Anticipate and detect supply issues and lead the prompt resolution to minimize or negate the market impact
- Manage and fulfill requests for product/production information from suppliers
- Receive purchase orders from Bausch & Lomb regions ex-US (if the product is being managed by the US on behalf of other regions)
- Develop Recurring Reports:
- Supplier Performance
- Inventory positions
- Weekly shortage/supply challenge reporting
- Lead supply issues resolution team for internally produced products
- Manage supply issues by working with project managers, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Operations, Quality Control, Commercial and Finance
- Other Essential Duties
- Daily maintenance of the MRP system with related supply chain data; Managing PO acknowledgments, reporting on any discrepancies
- Open PO management, system updating, and expediting POs as directed
- Create and maintain purchasing department files and reports
- Work directly with Supply Chain staff on special projects
- Other duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications (Education / Skills / Abilities)**:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of planning experience, preferably within a multi-plant or multi-divisional business (background in logistics or procurement is a plus). Proven experience in managing demand planning activities in a complex environment.
