Come and be a part of this success- About Potash- The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP’s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.

Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. To find out more about Potash and the Jansen project, click here.- Purpose- The Specialist Underground Training assists in the design and delivery of comprehensive underground training programs for employees and contractors. They will support the design and development of engaging training materials, conduct interactive training sessions, provide competency assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. The Specialist Underground Training collaborates closely with multiple departments to identify training needs, ensuring compliance with mining regulations and safety standards.- Work Location- This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The associated work schedule will be an 8/80 roster (Monday to Thursday, or Tuesday to Friday weekly). As this role is not eligible for accommodation in the site camp, the incumbent must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Jansen site.

Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.- About the Role- In this role, you will:- Assist in the design and development of underground operations training programs tailored to specific needs of the mine site, relevant regulations and industry best practices-
- Instruct engaging and interactive training sessions to employees and contractors at various levels within the organization-
- Train and evaluate competency of equipment operators-
- Deliver Underground Mine Orientation to trainees including Mining Regulations-
- Provide specialized training on safe operations and maintenance of mining equipment and machinery-
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through multi-forums and voice of customer reviews to measure participants understanding and knowledge retention-
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance and evaluation results in conjunction with the Training Coordinator-
- Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging proactive safety practices, reporting of safety concerns and participation in safety initiatives-
- Identify opportunities for enhancing training effectiveness and safety procedures and contribute to the improvement of the culture and safety practices of the mine site- About You-
- Post secondary accreditation in a relevant discipline-
- Demonstrated experience in underground operations and/or projects-
- Proven ability to deliver training and competency programs, taking pride in effectively supporting, training and coaching team members in their technical learning-
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage, influence and build solid working relationships with peers, stakeholders, vendors and contractors-
