Olds College Brewery has an opportunity for a student enrolled in the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer service oriented individual to join our team in the retail store. The Brewery Asst & Retail Support worker is responsible for assisting the Head Brewer & Assistant Brewer in daily
- brewery operations as well as part-time retail sales at the brewery.

This is a part time brew student position that is required to work up to 2 days a week (Brewery), up to 2 days a week (Retail) which includes every other Saturday (Retail) with the exception of covering either department for holidays/events.

**Key Job Functions**:
**Brewery**:

- Work both independently and as part of a team
- Brew, transfer to kegs, assist with canning
- Mill
- CIP Equipment
- Other duties as required
- Maintain public health/sanitation and proactive health and safety standards
- Deliveries as required using Olds College vehicle

**Retail**:

- Interacting with customers; providing superior customer service
- Provide samples to customers to assist in sales
- Handle cash/debit and credit transactions
- Maintain a professional manner and act within the provincial and federal guidelines
- Maintain retail space appearance
- Operate and set up growler pour stations
- Maintain public health/sanitation and proactive health and safety standards
- Stay educated on Olds College Brewery products both current and upcoming and shares this knowledge enthusiastically

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program
- An understanding of computers and software systems
- Ability to work safely and in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Outgoing personality with strong customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
- Self-directed with the ability to prioritize workload
- Aptitude to handle and reconcile cash float
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Requires valid ProServe certification
- Driver’s license with clean driving record

Working Conditions:

- 7 to 8 hours shifts
- 60 to 72 hours in a pay period
- Able to lift up to 65KG, if required

**Start - Training Mid April (exact date TBD) until early September with option to stay on Retail every other Saturday while in program.
