Barber Collins is looking for Casual / Relief guards to cover sick and vacation shifts at sites around Waterloo Region and the Guelph Area.
- **Must be able to work 12 hr day shifts and Night shifts during the week**:

- **Must have a personal vehicle as shifts are not on bus routes**:

- **Must be able to work over 24 hrs a week if needed.**

**APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET ALL THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.**

**Duties**:

- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV cameras and other security equipment
- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, and take appropriate action
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, security procedures, and loss prevention strategies
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 32 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterloo Region, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
