**YOUR FUTURE TEAM**

Reporting to the Guest services Supervisor and Director of Room, you will have to show autonomy on a daily basis, as you will be part of the reduced night team. You will have the chance to work closely with all departments and be the main resource person on site at night.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide an exceptional level of service to our guests;
- Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations;
- Respond to guest comments, requests and emergencies;
- Execute accounting tasks related to night audit:

- Reconcile accounts
- Balance cash drawer and log receipts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Prepare night audit reports and forward to Management
- Ensure on-site security of property and guests overnight;
- Take important decisions in case of emergency;
- Report follow-up to the team members on the next morning shift including special guest requests that were not completed overnight;
- Be discreet and respect confidentiality in regards to guests;
- Show enthusiasm while executing any other needed task.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- College degree in Hospitality Management, accounting or relevant field;
- Experience with hotel Property Management Software (Opera PMS a great asset);
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, French or another second language is an asset
- Have a good knowledge of Halifax, its tourist attractions and its major intersections;
