The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region (ASNR) is a community support service organization that provides programs and services to people living with dementia and their care partners in the
Niagara Region. We work closely with other service providers to ensure quality care and support for our clients.
We employ administrative and fund development staff, educators, social workers, nurses, therapeutic rec staff, personal support workers and volunteers who work together as a team to meet the needs of people living with dementia and their care partners.

**Position Description**
**Title: Communications Coordinator**
**Reporting To: Manager of Fund Development**
**Salary Range: $41,000 - $46,000**
**Hours of Work: 40 hours - Monday to Friday; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm**
**Some Evening and Weekend work required.**
**Position Summary**
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the
Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region/Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation’s communications to support organizational program initiatives and fundraising events. This role is responsible for the production of organizational materials that adhere to the Alzheimer branding guidelines. The
Communications Coordinator will be responsible for all digital and print media marketing including writing and graphic design for MailChimp, social media, and promotional materials.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**1. Communications/Social Media**
i. Ensure that the Manager of Fund Development is kept well informed with respect to all communication initiatives and strategies. ii. Keep abreast of current industry and communication trends.
ix. Manage the creation, production, and dissemination of promotional/support materials for education, programs, fund development and administration purposes that may include, but limited to a monthly calendar, promotional flyers and brochures, invitations, donor packages, letterhead, business cards and name tags utilizing various graphic design software. x. Manage, coordinate the creation, and update web content for ASNR website. xi. Assist in the implementation of the annual Communication Plan xii. Lead the creation, editorial planning, content development, layout and production of
**2. Event Coordination ** i. Provide logístical support for signature events including but not limited to The IG Wealth
Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, Alzheimer Golf Classic and Anything for Alzheimer’s. ii. Assist with the development and maintenance of community/donor partnerships resulting in the support of programs and events through sponsorship, prize donations and promotions. iii. Act as the liaison for Third-party fundraising events and projects requiring the development of promotional materials. iv. Maintain and ensure adequate and efficient electronic files (Raiser’s Edge database) v. Liaise with Manager of Fund Development and Event committees on development of promotional and publicity materials, articles, photo opportunities etc. when appropriate and coordinate production and distribution of print materials, including invitations, posters, event programs and press releases.
**3. Internal Support**
i. Create and facilitate communication, promotional and media needs to all internal departments through the use of Jotforms/work requests. ii. Facilitate the communications logistics of the organization’s Annual General Meeting. This includes preparing video/audio presentations, appropriate directional signage, and meeting docu
