The office runs on Oryx; we have digital imaging (sensors & PSPs, and a digital pan). **New grad Level IIs Level Is will be considered if they are currently pursuing or have interest in pursuing their level 2 and NDAEB certification in the next 6 months.** **Clinical**_**patient Hours**_**are**: Monday: 9:00am-5:00pm (1h lunch) (8h) (NOTE- office is open 9am-7pm) Tuesday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (45min lunch) (6.75h) (NOTE- office is open 8am-5pm) Wednesday: 8:30am-4:00pm (45min lunch) (6.75) (NOTE office is open 7:30am-5:00Pm) Thursday: 8:00am-5:00Pm (1h lunch) (8h) (NOTE-office is open 8am-5pm) Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm (5h) (NOTE office is open 7:30am-1:00Pm) - >Average: 34h-37h/week< >_**Commute/ Parking**:_ - _We are best accessed by _**public transit**_ _(Jane station)_ - _Nearby Green P lots available for public parking_ - There _is no parking on-site_ - _Parking is _not _included with _the job **Position start date: IMMEDIATELY** **VERY IMPORTANT** - **Qualifications required**:_ **NDAEB certified OR signed up to write the NDAEB **DA level II **Minimum 6 months experience preferred Responsibilities include: **MAIN DUTIES**: - Setting up for and chair-side assisting our two dentists (only one dentist is ever working at one time) in basic dental procedures: Resto; Crowns (including fabricating temps)-- tooth and implant; Examinations; Endo; Extractions; Emergencies; in the future - bone grafts and implants - Keeping Sterilization Centre organized and instruments available for entire clinical team for their daily procedures - Following RCDSO/ PHO mandated IPAC procedures - Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. - Ready patient for dental treatment by welcoming and seating patient - Pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts - Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques. - Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies. - Training sterilization assistant - Maintaining, organizing and keeping clean the main clinical areas: - operatories - Lab - Steri centre **ADDITIONAL DUTIES**: - Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests - Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies - Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory - Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. - Assisting with front office tasks as needed We look forward to having you join our growing team **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-10-07
