Part Time Warehouse Assistant

Then this is an opportunity for you._** **This position reports to**: - Store Manager_ **Summary** This position is a seasonal part time, responsible for the shipping/receiving, issuing, distribution, and storage of products, supplies, in a safe and efficient manner that is compliant with _Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act_ and customer’s expectations. This role also involves selling indoor/outdoor furniture and accessories to clients. **Core Accountabilities**: - Generate positive impressions during the shopping and buying experience by serving customers in a friendly, professional and prompt manner. - Completion of all product knowledge/safety courses, thorough Dot University Programs. - Provide customers with complete explanation of features, benefits, warranty policies, and assembly of products purchased. - Verify, receive, unpack, and distribute merchandise to designated locations within the store. - Wrap and verify merchandise ready for redistribution. - Assemble/disassemble merchandise for store and customers in accordance to corporate policies. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. - Assist in loading and unloading of trucks, and merchandise for clients. - Support store operations by accurately and efficiently completing paperwork and POS transactions. - Maintain store and warehouse housekeeping. - Ensure compliance and consistent execution of company policies and procedures. **Skills and Qualifications**: - At least 1-2 years’ warehouse/stock experience. - Experience in retail sales is an asset. - Technologically proficient on POS sales register systems is preferred. - Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written) skills. - Excellent problem-solving skills in order to resolve issues. - Ability to multi task, and organize. - Flexible schedule including the ability to work weekends and holiday shifts. - Ability to lift/move 50lbs and over, with provided tools. - Work independently, and be comfortable assembling/disassembling product. **What’s in it for you?** In addition to a fast-paced, exciting environment that rewards the entrepreneurial spirit, we offer, professional training development, and advancement opportunities throughout our organization, such as: - Discounted programs to enhance employee experience. - Support in career advancement. - Robust training and development programs. - Seasonal work during specific periods, same time every year. - On site parking. - Inclusive team environment **If you are passionate, customer focused, and thrive in a team environment, we encourage you to** **apply.** We thank all applicants for their interest in Dot Furniture - please note due to the volume of applicants, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. **Job Type**: Part-time **Salary**: $16.50 per hour **Benefits**: - On-site parking - Store discount Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: - Whitby, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - warehouse: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: One location
