Perkins Restaurant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at our restaurant. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.
**Duties**:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as needed
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Monitor food inventory levels and notify management when supplies are running low
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
**Skills**:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service
A must
- One year chef or cook training.
Food handlers course. Certificate required.
