Scarborough, Canada Design Company Full time

We are a medium-sized firm company providing Architectural Design, Interior Design, Construction and Project management services across Southern Ontario. We are a full-service builder focusing on custom home building, luxury homes, low-rise residential projects, townhome development, and other construction projects.

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Bookkeeper to join our team.
- Must have college or university academic experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or similar field. CPA would be an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), Google Drive, other accounting softwares would be a bonus
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Professional, polite and energetic
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet strict deadlines
- Fluent in English. Mandarin/Cantonese preferred as well.

Duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Managing bank reconciliations and payroll processing
- Posting journal entries - allocate and post financial transaction details to subsidiary books
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Maintains historical records by filing documents
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, computer printouts
- Draw up financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare checks, payments and bank deposits
- Prepare and process payroll
- Comply with relevant reporting requirements
