Wine Cellar Concierge

**Position Description**:
The DYMON Wine Cellar Concierge is one of the main points of contact for all Dymon Wine Cellar. The Concierge ensures that everyone is warmly welcomed, anticipates and addresses Guest needs, provides wine cellar support and actively contributes to the smooth operation of the business and goes above and beyond to exceed the expectations of our Guests. This position also has the responsibility for the logistics operations of the Dymon Wine Cellar business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Point of Contact**
- Is present in the lounge during business hours, serving and assisting members and their guests
- Registers prospective Guests, gathers information and distributes promotional materials.
- Greets Guests and visitors and provides direction and guidance as necessary.
- Handles all incoming and outgoing cases of wine for members and as well as for events
**Community Awareness and Engagement**
- Ensures that the Manager is made aware of any Guest issues and conflicts.
- Assists with the marketing initiatives and coordinating community outreach events to create awareness of Dymon Wine Cellar
**Cellar Management**
- Coordinates Guest move-ins and move-outs; prepares welcome packages.
- Co-ordinates, manages and assists with all Member move ins/outs, deliveries and wine pick-up.
- Maintains all records, schedules and a calendar relating to wine storage.
- Explains to guests about the other wine services that Dymon provides with respect to wine inventory and organization
- Facilitates wine inventory and organization with the member upon request
- Ensure that the Wine Cellar operates in full compliance with all Dymon rules and regulations in addition to municipal and provincial legislation pertaining to the storage and serving of alcohol and the operation of a private wine club including fire safety and emergency plans.
- Inform the Wine Cellar Manager of any issues regarding the wine storage facility or guest issues regarding their storage
- Maintains overall cleanliness, organization and upkeep of the Dymon Wine Cellar space.
**Food Sales**
- Is responsible for assisting with members and their guests in the lounge for food service
- Prepares and sets food orders in advance
- Prepares food in the prep room in an a la minute style when members come in without reservations
- Ensures that members and their guests are well looked after during their time in the lounge at DYMON Wine Cellar
- Facilitates orders for members and their guests by suggestively selling items on the food menu
- Is expected to have knowledge of the items on the food menu in order to answer questions from members and their guests
- Is responsible for conducting an inventory of available food items to inform management of what items are low in stock. Events
- Is responsible for assisting with event set up and tear down
- Is responsible for assisting in events with whatever job is assigned to them by the manager
- Is responsible for ensuring there is adequate polished materials for smooth operation of events Ancillary Services
- Is expected to be able to conduct ancillary business services in an efficient and timely manner when asked by management
- Can meet goals within a reasonable timeline
- Can complete other duties and objectives when assigned to them by management at Dymon Wine Cellar
**Primary Objectives**:
- Ensures that the Wine Cellar operation runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensures that Guests are comfortable and able to enjoy their wine and food in a tidy and refined lounge (clean glassware, checking washrooms, cleaning glassware, preparing food)
- Takes care of administrative tasks to allow the manager to focus on urgent business activities and strategic issues.
- Ensures that the Wine Storage facility is always tidy and well maintained so that guests have easy access to their wine at all times.
**Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:
- Warm and pleasant attitude; genuinely enjoys taking care of others in a professional environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Excellent organization, time management and customer service skills
**Education & Experience**:
- College diploma in hospitality management program or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a restaurant, hospitality and/or wine storage environment
- Smart Serve certification required
- Food handlers certification required
