**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an HR Assistant to join our team in Ottawa, ON. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain the employee database, including tracking new hires’ information and updating their information as needed.
- Assist with the onboarding process by assisting with new hire paperwork.
- Maintain and update employee files, including updating names on payroll records.
- Coordinate interviews and new hire orientations by communicating with HRIS Team Members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working in human resources preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ADP Workforce Now.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support team members, clients, and customers.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K1G 5T8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
