Scope of Work: Bridge Structural Steel Fabrication Inspection - Shop

**Position Overview**

Engrity Inspection division is seeking an experienced QA Inspector (CWB Level 2 or 3) for a long-term bridge structural steel prefabrication inspection project in a shop in Grande Prairie.

The QA Inspector will be responsible for verifying compliance of fabrication schedule and quality of welding, and complete inspection activities as per the approved ITP. This role focuses on quality assurance oversight, coordination with QC and fabrication teams, and ensuring that established QA/QC systems are followed throughout the project.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform quality assurance oversight of bridge structural steel fabrication activities in a shop environment as per approved ITP.
- Oversee production to comply with schedule and report to the client project manager.
- Verify that fabrication and welding activities comply with CSA W47.1, S6, AWS D1.5 and in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and approved procedures
- Review quality documentation including WPS, WPQ, weld maps, ITPs, and inspection records
- Confirm QC inspections are conducted in accordance with approved inspection and test plans
- Monitor material identification and traceability, including MTRs and heat numbers
- Verify dimensional checks, fit-up inspections, and final visual inspections are completed as required
- Ensure fabrication processes such as cutting, forming, welding, assembly, and surface preparation follow approved procedures and codes
- Identify quality issues and assist in the documentation and tracking of NCRs and corrective actions
- Support internal audits and quality reviews as required
- Coordinate with fabrication personnel, QC inspectors, engineers, and client representatives regarding quality matters and project progress.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and project documentation
- Promote adherence to site safety requirements and quality best practices
- Support continuous improvement of quality processes within the shop

**Requirements & Qualifications**
- CWB Level 2 or Level 3 Certification - _Required_
- Fabrication Shop Experience - _Required_
- 10+ Years of structural steel Experience - _Mandatory_
- 3+ years of experience with bridge steel prefabrication inspection
- Ability to read and interpret bridge drawings
- Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $60.00-$90.00 per hour
