**Position Summary**: GO Logistics is hiring a 5 Ton Truck delivery driver. The position is full time, at our Oakville location. As our driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting skids from dock to dock and delivering various home appliances to our warehouse and customers. **Shift Details**:

- 8 - 10 hours shift, in addition, you may work more than 8 hours per day depending on your completion of work for that day.
- Flexibility is required to support volume and peak schedules, according to the needs of the business
- Work schedule is based on a 5-day work week.
- Work days may vary.
- Weekends, when necessary, to support peak schedule and business needs
- Hours will change at the discretion of the business

**Job Duties**:

- Safely operate a 5-ton truck, ensuring timely dock-to-dock deliveries.
- Load and unload skids and appliances using appropriate equipment.
- Handle and deliver appliances such as refrigerators, ranges, microwaves, etc. Occasionally assist in moving appliances within customers' premises.
- Daily run between Oakville and Barrie and Oakville.
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle, ensuring its cleanliness and functionality.
- Communicate with dispatchers and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Handle paperwork and delivery documentation professionally.
- Adhere to all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving a 5-ton truck or similar.
- Ability to lift 20lbs - 50lbs and move heavy objects (e.g., appliances) with appropriate equipment.
- Familiarity with transportation laws and regulations.
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential. High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Skills and Requirements**:

- Clean criminal background check
- Clean driver's abstract
- Valid DZ/AZ class license
- 2-year experience driving a Truck

** Reference letter is mandatory**

**Physical Requirements**:

- Sitting, walking, carrying, standing
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 20lbs, and occasionally lift and/or push up to 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities required in this job to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

**Personal Protective Equipment (mandatory)**

**Experience**:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Knowledge of truck maintenance and repair procedures
- Familiarity with GPS devices and electronic logging systems
- Ability to navigate various routes and road conditions
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills

**Salary**: $18.89-$23.00 per hour
