As a Skilled Landscaper at Down to Earth Landscaping, you will play a crucial role in leading and executing hardscape projects with precision and expertise. You will oversee a team of skilled laborers and ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Your primary responsibilities will include:
**1. Project Management**:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate hardscape projects from start to finish.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and budgetary constraints.
- Communicate project goals, timelines, and expectations clearly to team members.
**2. Team Leadership**:
- Lead and supervise a team of hardscape technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
**3. Landscape Installation**:
- Execute hardscape & softscape installations, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, garden beds, french drains, trees, and outdoor structures, according to design specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure proper site preparation, grading, and drainage to facilitate the long-term integrity of your installation.
- Utilize a variety of tools, equipment, and materials effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
**4. Quality Control**:
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure that installations meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Strive for excellence in craftsmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of hardscape construction.
**5. Safety Compliance**:
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and hazards on job sites.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to educate team members on best practices and procedures.
- Lead by example in adhering to safety guidelines and promoting a culture of safety consciousness.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in landscape construction.
- Strong knowledge of hardscape materials, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in operating hardscape equipment and tools.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Certification in hardscape installation or related field is a plus.
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 - 60 per week
