- As a Road Assist Associate Fleet Technician, you’ll be one of the first faces people see when they need help. As part of an amazing network of 130 Road Assist team members, you’ll provide friendly and professional roadside assistance or towing services to members of BCAA and affiliated clubs.

- This role has an embedded training program, tailored to your experience, and will provide you with the skills necessary to upgrade your career as a Roadside Fleet Technician.- Milestone 1 - Provides assistance such as battery boost, tire change, lockout service, buffer truck support and supplying fuel if necessary;-
- Milestone 2 - Efficient minor mechanical assistance such as battery replacement and no starts, tow and recovery;-
- Milestone 3 - Provides assistance such as wheel lift, tow & recovery, buffer truck;-
- Milestone 4 - Advanced efficient minor mechanical assistance, Flat Deck tow and recovery;-
- But note that this may be fast tracked, depending on individual’s progress;-
- Respond to our Members when they need minor mechanical assistance, service or towing;-
- Work in all kinds of weather, sometimes all in one day;-
- Promote BCAA memberships and general information about affiliate products and services;-
- Report any issues and take the initiative to resolve them, seeking support as needed;-
- Ensure BCAA vehicles, equipment, and tools are kept clean, orderly, and in good working condition;-
- Uphold BCAA service and safety standards;-
- Work rotational 24/7 shift work (including weekdays, evenings, weekends & statutory holidays).What you’ve done- Completed your high school diploma or have relatable experience;-
- At least 1-2 years of mechanical experience, preferably within automotive;-
- You’re a good driver with a clean BC Driver License Class 5. You’re confident navigating our cities and towns, regardless of the vehicle size, including 5-ton trucks, tow trucks, and pickup trucks;-
- Comfortable using technology and communication tools - including tablet, smart phone and / or laptops;-
- Strong command of the English language, a second language would be an asset but not required;-
- Capable of safely lifting at least 70lbs during member service, while prioritizing safety throughout.- What we offer:
