Cam’s Kids Foundation (Cam’s Kids) is a not-for-profit organization committed to “Supporting Young People Struggling with Anxiety”, helping them to cope effectively to reach their full potential.

Working with Cam’s Kids provides the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in the areas of mental health awareness, whole body wellness, and mental health support, gain connections with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, work with professionals in the fields of health and wellness, psychology, technology, and business, and work with passionate teams of young people across our nation that make up our Cam’s Kids Ambassador Program. The position is hybrid, with the expectation of being on-site when required. The position includes 3 weeks of vacation as well as flexible work hours.
**OPPORTUNITY**:
As the National Ambassador Coordinator, you will be in charge of managing the Cam’s Kids nationwide ambassador program. The Cam’s Kids ambassador program is a peer-to-peer support network that focuses on increasing awareness of anxiety and mental health and shares resources available through Cam’s Kids. At Cam’s Kids, over 850 individuals have participated in the ambassador program. Currently, the program has around 450 active ambassadors across Canada. In the National Ambassador Coordinator role, you will engage with our 24 post-secondary and two high school ambassador teams to provide structure, support, and guidance to their different student-led events and initiatives. You will utilize your strong managerial skills, written and oral communication expertise, creative thinking, and passion to de-stigmatize mental health struggles to strengthen and grow the Cam’s Kids Ambassador Program. In collaboration with the Administration and Content Development Coordinator, you will assist with the logístical planning and execution of fundraising, awareness campaigns, and community engagement events.
**JOB ROLES**:
The roles and responsibilities of this position cover many aspects with a focus around the following two areas:
- Manage, support, and grow the Cam’s Kids Ambassador program
- Monitor and report ambassador engagement and recruitment numbers.
- Support current ambassador teams by having monthly team lead meetings, visiting ambassador teams at their respective schools, coordinating the distribution of Cam’s Kids supplies and gear, helping teams with club ratification, supporting, and promoting ambassador led initiatives, developing ambassador material, etc.
- Recruit and enroll new ambassadors and ensure they receive proper onboarding and training.
- Establish and implement strategies to improve, support and grow the Cam’s Kids Ambassador Program.
- Lead national ambassador initiatives including school orientation, Chocolate Heart (Valentine’s Day), and Candy Cane (Winter Holiday) Campaigns.
- Other Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage Cam’s Kids corporate leaders’ pilot program.
- Represent Cam’s Kids at events and initiatives as needed.
- Create graphics for social media posts, ambassador led events, and Cam’s Kids initiatives.
- Support the Administration and Content Development Coordinator.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma, such as Business Administration, Marketing and Communication, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Psychology, or related field
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Creative and innovative thinker - design and implement strategies that strengthen and grow the Cam’s Kids Ambassador Program
- Must show exceptional initiative and ability to be self-directed
- Strong computer knowledge - proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
- Must display strong organizational proclivity and detail orientation
- G license and local to Durham Region/GTA, ready to be on location as needed
- General knowledge of mental health and anxiety struggles is a plus
