Hubert Canada is looking for a **Sales Manager**. This person will report to the VP of Sales North America and manage the strategic customer relationships and coordination of company-wide resources to provide comprehensive products, services, and value-added solutions. This role will manage all aspects of account management and new business development which include a group of national account and new business development reps. who are responsible for penetration, retention and acquisition of new accounts within the Canadian foodservice and food retail markets.

**PRIMARY REPOSNSIBILITIES**:

- Manage team to achieve all sales and margin targets
- Coach sales team in all phases of the sales process from discovery to close
- Manage and help drive net new business development strategies and tactics
- Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and organizational staff that promotes an outstanding customer experience measured by net promoter score
- Promote and grow relationships with key national accounts with all level contacts within the customer's organization
- Manage and coordinate sales and internal activity associated with individual contract agreements
- Work closely with VP Sales to prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts
- Implement and review effective pricing policies
- Document and maintain documentation all business and organizational knowledge pertaining to each corporate account in Salesforce
- Recruit, train and manage national accounts team on equipment and smallwares/merchandising
- Develop and utilize performance metrics to measure productivity of sales team
- Remain current on product knowledge through attendance of sales meetings, vendor trainings, reading industry related publications
- Foster positive relations and high-level communications internally with various departments (Merchandising, Marketing, Purchasing, Warehouse), and externally (customers, prospective customers, rep groups, vendors)

**DESIRED EXPERIENCE**:

- Strategic account management with large multi-unit corporate clients
- Worked with or for contract foodservice management companies
- Spent time in the equipment and supplies distribution world
- Restaurant management experience
- A love or appreciation of all things culinary (Foodies welcome)
- Heavy kitchen equipment: specification, design, estimating, installation, project management
- Experience working with architects, general contractors, food service consultants
- Smallwares and visual merchandising experience a plus

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Proficiency or proficient knowledge of Microsoft office
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM
- Ability to prepare budgets and accurately forecast sales and appropriate staffing requirements
- Passionate about all aspects of selling
- Ability to sell consultatively with experience/ knowledge of sales process/methodology
- Strong negotiating skills with ability to overcome objections
- Proven success in building long-term and growing relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Strong presentation skills
- High energy level and competitive nature

**TRAVEL REQUIRED**:

- This position requires travel within Canada and to the U.S.
- Estimated 20%
