IT QA Test Lead

**Location**: Multimatic IT, Markham, Ontario, Canada

**Overview**:
Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of light weight composite automotive systems.

Multimatic's IT group is located in Markham, Ontario, and we are currently seeking a **_IT QA Test Lead_**.

**Scope of Position**:
The IT QA Test Lead will be establishing tailored and fit-for-purpose test strategies, constructs and approaches and tactically manage teams to execute those strategies. They will coordinate with the functional, technical, data, security, and change/training teams to ensure that the test strategy and resulting approaches and activities are understood and adhered to. The incumbent will work closely with team members and consulting/contract resources to coordinate and oversee test planning and manage test execution and defect creation across the applicable functional streams.

The role requires hands-on experience in the creation and Management of testing processes. The position will report to the Business Solutions manager and/or project manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Functional SAP experience on end-to-end implementations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business processes and integration points across functional streams
- Experience as a test coordinator/test lead in end-to-end implementation
- Understanding of leading test practices for large-scale, multi-location implementations
- Experience establishing and managing complex schedules, plans, trackers and plan test strategies
- Hands-on expertise with leading test management tools
- Coordinate testing activities from preparation to execution
- Collaborate with Teams to ensure technical accuracy, compliance and to mitigate risk involved in the SAP processes and meet deliverables on time and to budget
- Identify and design solution options with detailed work estimates for implementation
- Build/execute test scenarios and configure the approved design solution
- Performing root cause analysis on defects and implementing permanent fixes to address issues
- Participate in rotating 24/7 after hour support of all Multimatic systems located in different countries as required
- Help to develop and implement “best practices” to ensure the most “optimum” process/operation cross divisions/plants
- Review submitted requests for changes; evaluate impact on other customer programs, processes, departments or divisions; provide functional/technical documents for customization/development and user manual; complete deployment with testing and user training

**Basic Requirements**:

- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience in full cycle implementation as well as in production support projects in manufacturing environments; and experience in automotive industry is preferred
- Experience within a manufacturing environment or Automotive industry
- Understanding of database design & queries
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills
- SAP S/4 Hana experience an asset
- An individual performer possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A good team player with excellent communication and organization skills

***Working Environment**:

- Office environment: approximately 15% travel required to local Multimatic office/production locations
