QA Test Analyst (Markham, Ontario)

Hourly pay range $ 52.00-$55.00

Hybrid, 3 days in office

Job Responsibilities

  • Define test strategy and test plan based on software development plan
  • Design detailed test cases based on requirements and test plan
  • Develop test tools and test scripts to automate the testing
  • Prepare test report, provide initial issue analysis, and contribute to defect prevention
  • Set up and configure necessary test equipment and environments for test execution and automation
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies
  • Hands-on work with hardware in a simulation environment (similar to a vehicle cockpit).
  • Writing automation scripts (Python-based).
  • Running overnight automation default scripts.
  • Executing standardized and customized test plans.
  • Occasional in-vehicle testing.

Job Requirements

  • Basic engineering degree or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience
  • 2+ years of SW Test experience (embedded SW strongly preferred), both manual and automated
  • Python or Object-oriented programming experience
  • Android experience
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Automotive experience is an asset
  • G License required
