SBI operates five lines of business servicing the domestic and global cannabis industry including: wholesale product distribution, a consumer brands portfolio, a medical marketplace, a full-service medical cannabis clinic, and a retail “farm-gate” store located at our production facilities in St. Thomas, Ontario.

Reporting to the Manager of Processing Operations, the Formulation & Filling Associate will be responsible for efficient and safe formulation operations, turning cannabis biomass into high quality cannabis products for inhalation.

The Formulation & Filling Associate creates and follows the operating procedures for formulation of cannabis products and ensures creation of high-quality product. The Formulation & Filling Associate performs preparation of daily product batches, weighs raw materials, mixing/blending process, monitoring stability of the process, recordkeeping of formulation results, daily laboratory maintenance, and cleaning/sanitation of the formulation area. The Formulation & Filling Associate demonstrates knowledge in the use of basic lab techniques.

**As the Formulation & Filling Associate you will...**
- Carry out all assigned duties including but not limited to extraction, extract processing, product formulation, filling and other manufacturing responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner that also complies with Regulations, cGMP’s, OHSA regulations, Sensi Brands SOP’s, and all applicable laboratory procedures.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on associated equipment as required.
- Maintain the inventory responsibility of all raw materials, finished products, and by-products of the cannabis manufacturing process.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.
- Follow appropriate control measures to prevent mixing of dissimilar production components while following Consumer Goods Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance sampling, testing, and visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceeds Sensi Brand’s specifications and expectations; such quality assurance work shall include, but not limited to: Record and monitor process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures.
- Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout Sensi Brand’s process, Execute tests on required analytical equipment.
- Work with 3rd party laboratories on sampling and lot control for their sample gathering and reporting.
- Continually strive to improve Sensi Brands processes for improved safety, quality, and efficient manufacturing.
- Support new product and process development work with our Process/Product Development team.
- Ability to author and execute manufacturing batch records and SOPs.
- Report the results of work in verbal and written form.
- Perform any other duties or tasks on an as-needed basis as requested by management.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Minimum BSc. with 2+ years laboratory, production/manufacturing, or pharmaceutical experience.
- Experience with vape formulations and filling are preferred.
- Previous formulation experience within the cannabis industry preferred.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety while operating process equipment.
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
- Strong time management skills including ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Shows initiative and ownership of work and willingness to learn.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Physical requirements: Standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves and 51+ pounds with a buddy, carrying product totes, pushing carts, moving, and making adjustments to process equipment.
- Ability to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) related to the cannabis production industry.
- Law requires that applicants be 19 years or older to work for a cannabis production facility.
- Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check (RPIC status not required but an asset).
