We believe that investing in our people is the key to long-term success. When our employees grow, our business thrives. That’s why we’re hiring a **People & Learning Specialist** to support training, development, and employee relations on our production floor.

**About the Role**

This is not a desk job. You’ll be out on the floor every day — observing, documenting, supporting new hires, and being a key contact for both learning and HR support.

This role is part of the **People & Culture team**, reporting to the **Director of People & Culture**, and working closely with the **Plant Manager** and Supervisors.

**Note**: About 70% of our workforce speaks Punjabi. **Fluency in Punjabi and English** is required.

**What You’ll DoTraining & Development**
- Build and run onboarding programs for production employees
- Create training materials and SOPs (including photos and videos)
- Coordinate internal and external training (e.g., WHMIS, HACCP, Redzone, First Aid)
- Maintain training records and ensure employees are up to date
- Track training completion and help close gaps
- Prepare training-related reports and dashboards

**Employee Relations & People Support**
- Be a go-to contact for employees on the floor
- Support employee onboarding, orientation, and integration
- Help resolve employee concerns and support grievance conversations
- Participate in workplace investigations and provide documentation support
- Assist with performance feedback and probation check-ins
- Collaborate on HR programs like safety, recognition, and communication

**Communication & Administration**
- Keep training calendars and compliance logs up to date
- Help coordinate locker assignments, contractor check-ins, and scan card distribution
- Create content for bulletin boards and signage that promote safety, quality, and engagement

**What You Bring**
- **Fluent in Punjabi and English** (spoken and written)
- 3+ years of experience in training, HR, or production support roles
- Experience creating and delivering training (on the floor or in groups)
- Knowledge of BC employment standards and workplace investigations is a strong asset
- Great people skills — approachable, confident, and clear communicator
- Organized and able to juggle multiple tasks at once
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Redzone or SharePoint is a bonus
