**About the Job**

In the position of VELUX Technical Trainer, or internally referred to as the Mobile Installation & Academy Trainer, you will assume a vital role centered on providing mobile and academy certified/non-certified technical installation and sales training to enhance the capabilities of VELUX's pro partners. Your contributions will be key in implementing our innovative strategy by showcasing how skill enhancement and comprehensive technical training drive the advancement of our solutions. You will conduct certified or non-certified installation and sales technical training sessions designed for a variety of audiences, including but not limited to renovators, roofers, dealers, and trade schools. This position will report to the Installer Program Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct hands-on technical training sessions utilizing our advanced mobile training setup. The main emphasis will be on the installation of VELUX products and sales techniques that target profitability and business opportunities.
- Conduct daily technical training events in the field or at our Academy facility in Oakville.
- Foster interest and commitment among installation pro partners for further business development by showcasing our full Academy curriculum and ongoing technical training opportunities.
- Working with the outside sales team, booking and managing your own schedule and daily workflow for your designated geographic region.
- When you are not traveling for mobile training, you will be based in our Oakville offices, preparing for future events and assisting customers who visit our showroom.
- Inspire genuine enthusiasm for VELUX products with interactive and captivating training sessions.
- Contribute to the development of additional technical and installation training materials and resources. Collect and record trainee information during mobile training events using our proprietary CRM system.
- Provide support for other events held at the Academy facility or off-site locations.
- Ensure the quality and safety of installation training seminars and events.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in building, roofing and construction practices is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting technical training for individuals and groups within the building products industry or a related field.
- Familiarity with tools utilized in skylight installation is required.
- Excels in a training/teaching setting and capable of creating enthusiasm.
- Proficiency in essential technology tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are imperative.
- Overnight travel is required (approx. 25% annually)
- Must be capable of lifting, climbing, and stooping with loads exceeding 60 lbs.
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.

**Preferred**:

- Bilingual (French)
- Bachelor's degree is desirable or trade school equivalent.
- Experience related to travel and set up of installation trainings.

**Monthly Salary: $6,188.00 - $7,018.00 per month**
