Ensuring a continuous process of on-site quality control, our manufacturing process is efficient and precise.

The _Supply Chain Lead_ is heavily involved with day to day production, and planning for future production. This role is a new role within the organization so the selected individual will have an opportunity to build the department and set Standard Operating procedures (SOPs). This role will have one direct report currently responsible for shipping and receiving.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leadership, Management and Accountability for Supply Chain functions - purchasing, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, logistics.
- Purchasing duties include requests for quotes, ordering and follow up.
- Setup and negotiate supply and stocking agreements with vendors.
- Managing vendors and expectations.
- Backfill inventory and order parts as required to maintain minimum stocking quantities and ensure we order ahead for long lead items.
- Set minimum stocking and purchase quantities for items that are high use or long lead.
- Execute MRP for large projects.
- Execute and create SOPs for Supply Chain.
- Support co-workers, projects, customers, and vendors with flexible communication and customer-oriented services.
- Communicate with third party vendors to arrange third party services.
- Fully utilize ERP and be a champion for ERP utilization.

**Requirements**:

- Attention to detail and ensuring procedures are followed consistently.
- Effective written and oral communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
- Self-starter, able to find issues and constantly improve systems, processes etc.
- Able to de-escalate tense situations and negotiate to get agreement and buy in from all parties.
- Proficient with ERP systems for inventory, BOM control, purchasing and receiving. Use of ProShop is an asset.
- Purchasing experience, ideally focused on metal for fabrication and/or other industrial or manufacturing field. Experience purchasing electrical components an asset as well.
- Experience negotiating supply and stocking agreements.
- Team leadership & people management skills desired.
- Logistics experience and familiarity with customs clearance in North America and worldwide.
- Desired - Able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs or use other means to assist lifting.
- Desired - Able to operate a sit-down counterbalanced forklift.
