**Your Opportunity**
Reporting directly to the Director of Property Operations, Drake Property Management is looking for a **Property Maintenance Technician **to join our fast-paced, growing property-management team. This Individual will ensure all properties remain in good working order and meet the company’s standard by consistently providing all Drake Property Management cliental with exemplarily service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
**Key Accountability and Responsibilities**:
Accountable for providing day-to-day maintenance operations within the Drake Property Management portfolio:
- Assures maintenance and repair of interior and exterior of all properties and equipment. Responsible for performing maintenance or supervising maintenance staff. Responsible for coordinating with outside vendors including electrical, plumbing, HVAC structural, grounds care, and parking areas.
- Collaborating with all maintenance software systems, scheduling work order activity and on-site maintenance needs.
- Collaborates with Property Management to ensure all vacant units, are returned to rentable condition within the required time frame.
- Assists and collaborates with Project Management and Property Operations Manager in annual budget planning.
- Performs regular inspections of all facilities and grounds.
- Maintain regular and timely documentation of maintenance activities
- All other duties within the scope of the job, as requested by management.
**Responsible for ensuring safety to all residents as it relates to the maintenance of the properties**:
- Follow all facets of the job in accordance with the legislation applicable to the jurisdiction, including: Health and Safety standards, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA and Human Rights
- Serves as the primary liaison for al health & safety, city, provincial, TSSA and Fire department inspections.
- Maintains accurate reports of all property inspections’ and ensures compliance regarding property standards, TSSA, Fire mechanical, provincial and city
- Collaborates with the Property Operations Manager to develop & implement maintenance, standards, policies & procedures Drake Property Management.
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance or related experience
- Must have a valid driver's license and present a clean drivers abstract.
- Multi-Family Property Management Facilities/Maintenance Experience preferred
- Proficient with use of basic handheld and electrical tools
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, mechanical and HVAC systems etc.
- Certification/license from one of the trade professions would be a definite asset
- Exposure to the multi-residential or other related industry asset class would be considered an asset
- Computer savvy with a technical competence
- This is a full-time 35-hour work week, position normally conducted during business hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm, with the occasional need to work beyond these set hours.
- Travel is required. Majority of work will be conducted in the GTA.

All Drake Property Management employees are expected to spend most of their time working in our brand-new office in Vaughan, Ontario. Travel to our property locations is required within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas. This is a full-time, 35-hour work week position typically conducted during core business hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, with the occasional need to work beyond these set hours
