Job Profile and Description

A host handles and coordinates the operations within the dining room. A host ensures that the first and last impression for each guest is presented in the most welcoming manner.

Report to - General Manager, FOH Manager and FOH Leads

**Responsibilities**:

- Open doors, greet guests politely and escort them to their respective tables, pull seats for them and ensure that they are comfortable
- Make sure that all menus are well wiped and are free of stains or spots
- Notifying guests of daily specials or events as instructed by the Manager on Duty
- Ensure that entry doors are free from debris and welcoming
- Check with the kitchen to ensure that they are apprised of the current seating flow (menu counts)
- Oversee and maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, bathrooms, and entryway
- Make sure the guests are seated and well served
- Welcome guests and provide departing words upon their leave. This involves enquiring about the quality of the services provided to them at the restaurant.
- Check reservations to ensure that all reservations are catered for
- Engage with guests while they are waiting
- Ensure to provide accurate wait times while following the wait sheet in order
- Accountable for completing daily clean checklists and general tidiness of the front entry
- Maintain and enforce Stella’s “clean as you go” procedures
- Duties as assigned
