**Title**: Truck Driver

**Location**: HRM

**Reporting to**: Shipping Manager

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer truck to transport goods and materials to various destinations in HRM
- Safely handle glass and rearrange racks as needed
- Be conscious of delicate product being delivered (Racks of Glass) and chose your routes accordingly
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and forklift to ensure both are in good working condition
- Load and unload cargo with forklift, ensuring proper handling and securing of the load
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents or accidents that occur during transportation
- Ensure delivery slips are signed by customers and appropriate copies left and returned with you to report back to head office
- Inquire about empty racks left with customers and return these with you as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with shipping manager, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of freight transportation regulations and procedures
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Proficiency in operating a forklift for loading and unloading cargo
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

**Salary**: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 60 per week
