A pharmacy assistant is a healthcare professional who works in a pharmacy, assisting the pharmacist with various tasks and responsibilities. Responsibilities for a pharmacy assistant include:

- Receiving and processing prescriptions: This may involve verifying the accuracy of the prescription, inputting the prescription into the pharmacy's computer system, and verifying that the patient has the appropriate insurance coverage.
- Providing customer service: Pharmacy assistants interact with patients and other customers, answering questions, providing information, and assisting with the purchase of over-the-counter medications and other products.
- Maintaining inventory: This involves ordering and receiving medications and other supplies, as well as keeping track of expiration dates and ensuring that the pharmacy has an adequate supply of necessary items.
- Assisting the pharmacist: Depending on their level of training and experience, pharmacy assistants may also be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, verifying the accuracy of medication orders, and performing other tasks as directed by the pharmacist.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
