As the Leader, Mixed Use Development Strategy, you will drive transformational facility and real estate development projects that integrate civic services with private development. You will lead high-profile, multi-interest holder initiatives that redefine development and public-private partnerships. The position will provide an exciting opportunity to foster innovation and navigate complex legal, contractual, and technical landscapes. Primary duties include:

- Lead large-scale, high-impact development projects that integrate public and private sector interests.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to maximize project value and public benefit.
- Collaborate with private developers and community interest holders to drive successful project outcomes.
- Structure, negotiate, and manage complex contracts, ensuring alignment with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on procurement strategies, financing models, and governance structures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiencies, and unlock untapped value in projects.
- Lead negotiations with public and private entities to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to a diverse range of interest holders, from legal teams to community representatives.
- Provide leadership to your team, including guiding them to achieve goals in alignment with corporate objectives, supporting professional development, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in Planning, Architecture, Real Estate, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience leading large-scale real estate, infrastructure, or public-private partnership (P3) projects, including extensive experience in contract structuring, negotiations, and risk management.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Registration as a Professional Planner (RPP, MCIP) or Professional Architect (AAA) is preferred.
- A Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
- Experience working with multifamily developments, affordable housing, or complex financing structures is preferred.

Compensation: Level M2 $130,400 - 163,000 per annum
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
- work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
- Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
