Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Act as the bartender, server, and busser rolled into one.
- Take food and drink orders at both the bar top and tables.
- Track all food and drink orders through POS system.
- Make drink orders and deliver to customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure food orders are ran to tables in a timely manner.
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and ensure proper food safety and food handling procedures are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, and delivering a memorable experience.
- Oversee day-to-day bar operations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Assist in sales efforts by promoting specials and upselling beverages to maximize revenue.
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring guest behavior and enforcing responsible alcohol service policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy daytime hours. Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years (no more than a 6-month break) previous experience as a bartender/MOD in a pub, bar, or food service establishment is preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to manage busy daytime shifts effectively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions.
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with local regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness.
