**Job Title**: Casual LPN - Overnight Shifts (2-3 nights/week)
**Location**: Private client residence, North Vancouver (commutable to West Vancouver)
**Employer**: Proof of Care (in-home care provider)
**Schedule**: Overnight shifts (e.g., approx. 10:00 pm - 6:00 am or 11:00 pm - 7:00 am) **at least 2 or 3 nights per week** (flexible within a casual roster)
**Start Date**: ASAP

**About the Role**

You will provide one-to-one overnight care for a private client in a comfortable home setting. As a casual team member you’ll work 2-3 shifts per week on average, with the potential for additional overtime if desired. This position offers an opportunity to provide meaningful, patient-centred care in a quieter overnight environment, without the high-volume pace of facility nursing.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor client safety and comfort throughout the night, including repositioning, skin checks, and ensuring environment is safe and tidy.
- Administer medications, document responses, and escalate any concerns appropriately.
- Assist with personal care and toileting as needed (within the client’s care plan).
- Record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other relevant measurements per care plan.
- Communicate with the daytime care team (handover) and maintain accurate overnight notes.
- Support a calm, restful overnight environment and intervene when necessary to ensure the client’s well-being.
- Travel to West Vancouver / North Vancouver region as required for the shift.

**Required Qualifications**
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree/diploma from a recognized Canadian college.
- Full, current registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Indeed+1
- Comfortable commuting to West Vancouver / North Vancouver region for the overnight shift.
- Ability to work independently overnight, with strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Clean criminal record check (adult & vulnerable sector)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with mínimal supervision overnight.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous experience in private home care or 1:1 care in a residential setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records or nursing documentation software.
- Ability to be reliable and flexible on a casual roster with potential for extra shifts.
