**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Lead Dockhand

Seair Seaplanes is looking for a hands-on leader to oversee daily dock operations and support a team of dockhands. As the **Lead Dockhand**, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient turnaround of aircraft, smooth passenger experiences, and strong communication between ground operations and flight crews. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and can balance operational duties with team coordination.

**WORK HOURS**: 10-hour shifts, on a scheduled four-day work week.

**LOCATION**: Richmond, B.C.

**TERM**: Full Time

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)**:

- Supervise and coordinate dockhand team activities to ensure safe, efficient, and professional dock operations
- Train, mentor, and provide feedback to dockhand staff
- Oversee aircraft turnaround, including securing, fueling, loading, and baggage handling
- Ensure all safety and operational protocols are followed by the team

Refuel aircraft and monitor fueling procedures
- Monitor equipment, supplies, and overall dock readiness
- Assist management with scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks
- Perform dockhand duties as needed, leading by example
- Support continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and customer service

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Previous leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in aviation, marine, or transportation operations
- Strong communication and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Class 4 driver’s license
- Physically capable of lifting baggage and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
