Job Summary
The Marketing Representative will be accountable for oil and natural gas marketing, strategies, analysis and analytics which drive the success of the short and long-term corporate portfolio performance.
This role will be based in our Calgary office and may work two (2) days a week remote. Salary Range: $97,000 - $115,000 CAD.
**Responsibilities**:
Market all natural gas and crude oil
Maximize netback price and evaluate pipeline transportation opportunities
Conduct market analysis and identify/evaluate new market development opportunities
Coordinate production control function in Canada to ensure proprietary natural gas and crude oil production can be shipped as produced
Collaborate with Marketing Team and other internal stakeholders in evaluating and developing short and long-term marketing strategies in line with production profile and corporate strategy
Identify and evaluate market opportunities in Alberta and North America
Work closely with internal stakeholders on forecasting current and new production to ensure proprietary production gets to market
Optimize net-back through minimizing sales penalties, transportation costs, and operating costs for all commodities
Identify and evaluate business/market development opportunities
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage joint venture and commercial operations
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas marketing at an E&P company
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Proven experience and working knowledge of Alberta natural gas and oil pipeline infrastructure
Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge of natural gas and oil nominations systems
Solid understanding of downstream markets
Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical analysis skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse groups of individuals
Displays a high-level of integrity in all actions, complying with and promoting the company’s core values, a respectful work environment, and aligning with the code of business conduct. Ability to work effectively, confidentially and professionally in a rapidly changing business environment
Results-oriented with the ability to work independently, prioritize work and multi-task effectively
