**Job Overview**
Penfor Construction offers “turn-key” General Contracting for the construction of multi-family commercial and agricultural facilities. Our team will design, estimate and oversee complete construction, ensuring that the project is completed on time and on budget.

**Responsibilities**
- Receive and verify invoices prior to payment for assigned vendors; verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare batches of invoices for data entry; enter invoices for assigned vendors for payment using accounting software.
- Support construction billing and cost cycles through accurate allocation of invoices to projects and cost categories and administering vendor holdbacks according to legislative requirements.
- Perform regular payment runs by matching invoices to cheques and distributing accordingly.
- Reconcile vendor statements for assigned vendors, research and correct discrepancies.
- Provide reception and administrative services, communicating professionally and effectively with customers, visitors and co-workers.
- Maintain accounts payable files.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all accounts payable files.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Serve as backup for other Finance related functions.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 education or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable and maintenance of general ledger.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
- Proficiency with computerized accounting software.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent internal/external customer service orientation and good teamwork skills.
