We are currently recruiting for an **Accounting Manager** for our **Blumenort, MB**location.
**Principal Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and support the Accounts Receivable teams
- Monitor and supervise daily accounting transactions for all Agrihub entities.
- Troubleshoot daily accounting and coding issues that arise across GL accounts.
- Review and record monthly accounting transactions as part of the month end process.
- Prepare aged subledger reports for accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and investigate outstanding balances in each account.
- Review and support the reconciliation of prepayments of inventory transactions.
- Investigate and troubleshoot transactional issues as identified by Financial Controller.
- Prepare, review, and analyze capital assets, including capital lease transactions.
- Identify and initiate process improvement through the analysis of financial data.
- Assist in preparations for the annual audit engagement.
- Support, mentor, and develop direct reports as well as the broader accounting team.
- Develop relationships with other departments to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve operational efficiency.
- Ad hoc financial analysis as assigned or agreed upon with Financial Controller.
- Assist in the recruitment process for the Finance Team.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required**:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Mathematical and analytical skills.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Good internal/external client orientation and good teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
