Truck Driver

_**Terminal: Laval**_
- **Working Hours: 8AM to 6PM (end time depends on volume or possible delays)**_
- **Working days: Monday to Friday**_
- **No work on Holidays**_
- **No work on weekends**_

**What you will do**:

- Drive Class 3 truck_
- Deliver freights to assigned stops within GMA_
- 12 deliveries and up to 10 pick-ups_
- Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time
- Load and Unload freight in proper route sequence with the use of a dolley and or manual pallet truck_
- Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

**What you will get**:
Hourly paid $23.00/hr.

**What we require of you**:

- French is a must
- High School Diploma
- Must have a valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence
- Clean Commercial Driver's Abstract
- Minimum 1 year Commercial tractor trailer driving experience locally or minimum 2 years’ experience as a City Truck Driver
- Day shift - Monday to Friday working a minimum of 9-10 hours/day
- Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck (12 deliveries and up to 10 pick-ups daily)
- Capable of doing physical labour - lift up to 70lbs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Experience with courier service is an asset
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service
- Adaptable to change
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Experience working independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work on a team and being a team player
- Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
- Must have a safety and compliance mind set
