If so, then you may be the perfect fit as a “Renewable Energy Advisor” for Solr Solvr and Clean Energy Solvr. We are a 4 year old company that is expanding from its role as a solar broker in Canada into a marketplace for many other clean energy categories in the US. We have a great roster of partners (and need more) offering their products and services, from E-tractors, E-Marine, Solar, Heat Pumps, Batteries, Off-grid Generation, digital communications to financing.

**Role Objective**:
To assist the company in finding, assessing and closing leads for commercial business owners (and secondarily residential) to provide qualified leads for energy partners to close the sale. You will do this by populating models to provide an energy audit with alternate options, from a technical and financial perspective to represent the company as a reliable technical resource, and a friendly information source for client retention.
**Job Requirements**:
- (Primary) Discover and profile potential clients from cold-calls, list sources and search engines by region, building and closing your own leads, including interface and informing our energy partners to close the sale.
- Collect necessary info for an energy assessment (remotely), using pre-build models and a software called Solagraf (training available)
- Retain clients and manage customer lifecycle by turning one sales opportunity into several, by cross-selling benefits of complementary products
- (Secondary) Understand new & existing markets, new technologies and methods of selling clean energy technologies which come on the market from time to time. Always looking fore way to make our company more efficient and continuous improvement.
- Write and speak in simple, jargon-free correspondence with customers--Strong English is a must
- This role has flexible hours with a maximum of 35 hours a week
**Skills & Experience**:
- Strong electrical and mechanical know-how of energy conservation, understanding of building specifications, regulations and building and electrical code is a benefit
- Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, solar technician, electrician or HVAC experience--and looking to turn this technical know how into sales
- A good understanding of current clean energy options, from micro-generation to conservation in the marketplace, is a benefit
- Able to assess the benefits, payout and competitive advantage of system options over others
- We are flexible on specific education and credentials, if proven renewable or clean energy industry experience and knowledge can be demonstrated--this is NOT a passive customer service role, you will be selling
- Strong analysis skills: Working knowledge and experience with excel data tables, and creating presentations in PowerPoint and/or using Canva for graphics/social posts
- Comfortable with data, modelling and financial models, as well as tech-savvy with experience working with a multitude of software, digital and computer tools -these include web portals, Hubspot, updating datasets and client file management
- Strong communication, both written and oral sales capabilities, using images, graphs and infographics, with the ability to communicate in simple terms, with clarity “jargon-free”, including live zoom/phone calls-Strong English is a must.
- Strong attention to detail is needed
- Works well independently, a self-starter, but will meet with the broader team on a weekly basis
**Requirements necessary for the role**:
- A laptop and mobile phone, with data and LD plan across Canada. A plan for US will be provided
- Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word are a necessity
- quiet, clean remote office area where video or phone meetings can be conducted
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
