**About the Company**

Starmaker Distribution is a Wholesale Distributor of Generic and Licensed items ranging from sports to kid’s items. We have over 10,000 different products spanning 300 categories. We are our customers one stop shop for all their General Merchandise needs.

**Who We Are Looking For**

We are looking for a qualified Purchasing Agent to join our team to help support our sales team with our growing business in the US and Canada. You will be responsible for a range of purchasing tasks including, but not limited to:

- Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria.
- Negotiating Contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company.
- Verifying purchases by comparing to POs and pick slips.
- Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
- Maintain proper inventory, forecasting needs.
- Attending trade shows to meet new suppliers and stay current with trends.

As a Purchasing Agent you should be enthusiastic, organized, and self-motivated. This individual must be a team player and exhibit willingness to bring ideas to the table, but also able to work independently.

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Agent
- Knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel and MS Power Point in particular)
- Prior experience with Quickbooks is an asset.
- An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Windsor, NS B0N 0B1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
