POSITION
Champlain College Saint-Lambert is seeking the services of a STUDENT LIFE COUNSELLOR to work on a temporary full-time basis (35 hours per week) in the Student Services department. This is a special project for a duration of one year with the possibility of renewal.

FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the Student Life Counsellor works in collaboration with the student life team for the development, planning, organization, management and evaluation of all student and campus life, socio-cultural, and orientation. They are also responsible for the Student Leadership program (iLead) as well as the First Year Transition Program (FLIP).

1. Ensures that Student and Campus Life Programming is consistent with the College’s Mission, Values and Vision, reflects an inclusive, diverse and comprehensive offering and meet with the overall goals, objectives and learning outcomes established by Student Services;
2. Coordinates the Student Services Leadership Program (iLead) delivery team to ensure that the learning outcomes for the iLead program are met;
3. Works with the Champlain Student Association to ensure a collaborative relationship that supports and promotes a positive student experience. In addition, provide them with the support in areas of conflict management, communication and budget management;
4. In collaboration with the other Student Life Counsellor, coordinates and oversees all student and campus life activities including the scheduling of facilities, the yearly plan, college transition programming including Orientation as well as the creation and assessment of learning outcomes;
5. Works with external and internal partners to enhance Student recognition and Intercollegiate student life opportunities;
6. Oversees and promotes the Campus Student Involvement Program;
7. Oversees budget and purchasing for student and campus life activities for which they are responsible;
8. Assists the Director of Student Services in the development and coordination of all activities that pertain to graduation;
9. Works with all members of the Student Services team and other members of the Campus community to provide quality opportunities for student success and a positive student experience;
10. Represents the College at all meetings related to Student and Campus Life at the regional, provincial and national levels;

11. Participates in College activities and committees as determined by the Director of Student Services;
12. Carries out other related tasks assigned by the Director of Student Services.
13. Acts as a substitute for the Financial Aid Officer when required.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:
Must possess an Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization such as Physical Education, Recreation, Applied Human Sciences, Cultural Animation and research

Other
Excellent communication skills in English and French;
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office suite;
The incumbent will be required to work in English in order to support our students.

**Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (35 hours per week)

**Duration of contract**: Until August 11, 2026 with possibility of renewal

**Salary Scale**: $53,529 - $88,795

**Anticipated Start Date**: 2025-08-11

**Comments**:
This position requires some evening and weekend work as well as overnight travel.
