Stittsville, Canada Wildpine Residence Full time

The Resident Attendant shall provide personal care and other services to residents in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home.
- **Full Time Positions available for All Shifts (days & evenings)**_

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provides services and interacts with residents and resident family members in a professional manner
- Complete scheduled care services required from the resident and document the completion of the assistance and care provided
- Participates as a member of the care team and provides support to the other members of the Services team; assist with feeding, toileting and ambulating residents.
- Observes and adheres to all policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations
- Assists and attends to care needs of the residents as required
- Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
- Aware of employees and supervisor’s responsibilities and follows all health and safety policies and procedures
- Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers, and residents
- Is alert to, remedies, and promptly reports all actual or potentially hazardous situations
- Wears personal protective equipment (or clothing) as required by task, MSDS, or home policy
- Other related duties as assigned, such as keeping resident rooms clean and tidy, folding their clothes, taking their temperature and weight

**Education/Experience**:

- Previous experience in providing personal care
- Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent
- Preferred post-secondary education in related care fields of PSW/HCA/ DSW certification
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
- Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints
- Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
- Must be able to operate related equipment
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carrying heavy items

**Benefits available for full time employees after 3 months of employment**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50 per hour

- Personal Support: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
