**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate self-erect cranes and telescopic forklifts to lift, move, and position materials under the guidance of a journeyman operator.
- Review lifting plans and work closely with site supervisors and riggers to ensure safe load rigging and positioning.
- Assist with pre-operation inspections of equipment components and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Conduct post-operation inspections and assist with routine maintenance checks.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment operations and submit reports as per industry standards.
- Follow all safety codes, regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with ground crews using hand signals or radio equipment during lifting and moving procedures.
- Maintain a clean work area and help ensure cranes, forklifts, and lifting equipment are safely stored.

**Qualifications**:

- 1-3 years of experience operating self-erect cranes, telescopic forklifts, or similar equipment in a construction setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of basic safety standards and load capacities for cranes and forklifts.
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Safety-oriented with strong attention to detail in every task.
- Mechanically inclined with a readiness to learn equipment maintenance and operation adjustments.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of crane and forklift operations, including lifting, climbing, and maneuvering.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working on framing projects (residential or commercial) is an asset.
- Additional skills in rigging or signaling are beneficial.
- Willingness to take on additional certifications in crane and forklift operations and safety protocols.
