Summer Student

**Job Summary**
Senior Support Services, a non-profit charitable community support service provider, invites applicants for a summer student position as part of the 2025 Canada Summer Student Grant program, to work with our team and our senior clients. This position is part-time at 30 guaranteed hours per week.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Co-ordination, planning & delivery of our Tri-Shaw bike program, i.e. scheduling rides for clients in our Adult Day Program, bike pilot - taking seniors for scenic tours through our local community.
- Administrative / Office support including, but not limited to, filing, photocopying, composing routine correspondence, updates to client database, receiving and directing enquiries, client/consumer survey.
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports.
- Assist with the organization’s fundraiser events.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging with seniors.

**ELIGIBILITY**: Applicants must:

- Be enrolled in high school or a post-secondary education program (college or university). Proof of enrollment may be required. Ø Enrollment in business or public administration, communications, or working with seniors, is an asset.
- Satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
- Have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred.
- Be 15-30 years of age.
- Have a valid SIN

**As per the requirements of this funding grant, international students, and those who are here in Canada on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit, are not eligible for the Canada Summer Student Program.**
