Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: **Work Description** As a Museum Attendant, you may have the opportunity to work on some or all of the following activities: - Welcome visitors, conduct tours, and provide historical interpretation of museum artefacts. - Provide care and maintenance of the museum and artefacts. - Respond to requests for group/bus tours and/or special events. - Conduct security checks for visitors to the museum/building and for containment of artefacts. - Be responsible for opening and closing the museum. - Maintain records for admissions, and manage cash and complete transactions. - Provide community outreach in support of interpretive programming. - Participate in the design, development, and delivery of public programs. - Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage assigned work. **How do I qualify?**: **Mandatory**: You must meet **all** eligibility criteria by the first day of employment (contracts begin between May and July): - **Age**: You must be a minimum of 15 years of age.
