Warranty Administrator

Mid - Ontario Truck Centre is currently hiring an experienced Warrantly Administrator to join our dynamic team.
**SUMMARY**
The Warranty Administrator is responsible to prepare and fill all warranty claims back to the respective manufacturer, ship parts requested to be returned and reconcile all credits. Train dealership personnel, as needed, on warranty coverage and procedures. Prepare and process all extended new vehicle warranties in accordance with the manufacturer’s policy.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Treat customers with courtesy and respect in accordance with dealership policies. Follow policies and procedures for document handling and securing of warranty parts, file electronic and manual claims in accordance with each manufacturer’s policy and procedures.
- Interpret warranty coverage for customers and dealership employees as needed.
- Answer telephone inquiries from customers concerning warranty coverage. Disseminate new warranty procedures or coverage to Warranty Manager,
- Ensure warranty parts and documents are handled properly within the dealership. Check warranty claim status daily.
- File warranty claims within five days after repair order is closed. Reconcile credits received for warranty claims weekly.
- Advise Service Manager, Service Advisor and Shop Foreman of multiple failures of the same type and submit product reports to the manufacturer. Advise service employees of denied claims and reason for denial. Work with manufacturers to resolve warranty disputes and customer warranty issues.
- Warranty Self Determination (WSD): Qualify for and or maintain WSD in accordance with manufacturer’s requirements. Work with Service Manager(s) in establishing required training paths for all service department employees.
- Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems involving warranty claims and/or repairs
- Continually demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate will all company employees.
- Comply with requirements as outlined in the OHSA, WHMIS company handbook and all other company issued memos and policies including proper use of appropriate PPE. Follow business code of ethics and communicate to team.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- None for this position.
**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required to successfully perform the job.
- **Education and/or experience**_
- Knowledge of Automotive repair or servicing and of Warranty Administration/Clerk in auto industry. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to work under pressure and with mínimal supervision.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Work and Windows based software).
- Minimum GED or ACE
- **Language Skills**_
- High standard of fluency in English for both oral and written correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- **Mathematical Skills**_
- **Reasoning Ability**_
- **Certificate, Licenses, Registrations**_
- Valid Class G driver’s license
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- The noise level in the work environment is minor.
