**Airport Security Agent**

**Position Summary**

As an Airport Security Agent, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing aviation security protocols designed to prevent, detect, and respond to potential threats. This is a front-line position that demands a high level of vigilance, professionalism, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced security screening technologies.
- Monitor airport facilities to identify and address security risks, breaches, or vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams during incidents and investigations.
- Enforce compliance with all applicable security policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain security equipment such as metal detectors.
- Clearly and professionally communicate screening procedures to passengers.
- Stay current on evolving aviation security regulations, practices, and threat intelligence.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations in coordination with airport authorities and emergency services.
- Perform both scheduled and random security checks to maintain a visible deterrent.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (required); post-secondary education in criminology, law enforcement, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with security screening procedures and technologies.
- Strong observational skills and keen situational awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain all necessary airport security clearances, including background checks.

Required Certifications
- Valid Security Guard Licence (mandatory)
- Red Pass (RAIC) and D/A Permit are preferred

Work Schedule
- Availability for day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Sunday to Saturday, with flexibility to work on holidays as required
