**Job Title**:Assistant Store Manager/Keyholder

**Summary**:
The Assistant Manager will have a large share of responsibility for the day-to-day operations and performance of one of our fast-paced Body Energy Club locations. The Assistant Manager is expected to uphold Body Energy Club’s standards, policies, and procedures while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining an organized food safe environment. In addition, this role is responsible for supporting staff training and development, maintaining store inventory, and driving sales daily.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide outstanding customer service experience to all individuals visiting stores -Assist the store in driving sales and profitability through set targets and promotions -Support the control of costs by working with management on cost saving initiatives -Efficiently track and monitor inventory and store shrinkage
- Monitor staff behaviour/operations and provide feedback to store Manager as necessary
- Drive team performance through engagement initiatives
- Train staff on updated operational policies and procedures as communicated -Assist on training and development of team members with support from store Manager
- Receive product deliveries and put away when necessary
- Maintain a food safe and sanitary environment

**Minimum Job Requirements**:

- Flexible schedule availability required for all applicants during business operations for 7 days a week from 6:00am - 11:00pm
- Full time hours for Assistant Managers can work 40-45 hours a week -Willing to work evenings and weekends and lead by example to support team members
- Maintain constant punctual attendance and contribute to positive team morale -Must be able to come in under short notice (i.e. on call situations)

**Experience**:

- 2+ years of experience in health supplement industry is an asset
- 2+ years of experience in customer service or food service industry
- 1+ year of supervisory experience in a retail management environment is preferred

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Must demonstrate good verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills -Team player with strong leadership skills
- Possess a strong knowledge of nutrition and supplements
- Adapt and learn quickly to new products/procedures as business requires -Expert in both retail management and in-store systems, policies, and procedures -Possess the importance of maintaining a clean and sanitary environment -Must be able to work under moderate supervision and troubleshoot team’s questions/concerns
- Passionate and knowledgeable about Body Energy Club products and leading a healthy lifestyle

**Working Conditions and Physical Effort**:

- Work involves daily exposure to elements such as noise, dust, variety of food products -Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks such as working blenders, knives, etc.
- Position requires the ability to be on your feet for a long-extended part of your day, moving equipment or product up to 20 - 30 lbs.; reaching and kneeling daily -Requires the ability to see, hear and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
