**Position**: IT Support Specialist

**Location**:Red Deer County

Apex Oilfield Services (2000) Inc. is a privately owned company providing rental equipment, service, and support to the energy industry. As the largest, privately owned wellsite accommodations and solids control providers in Western Canada, we are seeking a motivatedIT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at our head office in Red Deer County.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Setting up, terminating, and managing user accounts, permissions, and access permissions
- Providing remote desktop and technical support to end-users
- Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with hardware, software, and network systems
- Monitoring system performance and maintaining system security
- Collaborating with senior IT professionals to implementing new technologies while improving existing systems
- Documenting system configurations, developing procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- In depth knowledge CompTIA, A+ and Network+
- Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology, or Equivalent
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with server administration, including Hybrid Azure Active Directory and DNS
- Good understanding of Hyper-V clustering concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
- Experience with projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Red Deer County, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
