Founded in 1997, Hot Zone Training Consultants Inc. provides health and safety training, consulting, respirator fit testing, rescue standby services, hazardous material testing, and personal protective equipment across Ontario and Canada. Working in partnership with Prime Management Group Inc., Hot Zone Training Consultants Inc. is actively recruiting for a customer-driven, entrepreneurial National Manager of Hazardous Material and Occupational Hygiene Services (NMHMOHS) to join their trusted and expert team in Cambridge, Ontario. The NMHMOHS will be a dedicated champion of the management and growth of Hot Zone’s Hazardous Material and Occupational Hygiene Services Division. This position is a hybrid working arrangement with in-office expectations.
Reporting to an inspirational Director of Operations, the NMHMOHS will demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration at all levels, particularly in the strategic planning sessions to build new client relationships, grow the Hazardous Material and Occupational Hygiene Services, and support the development of marketing collateral.
In alignment with Hot Zone’s corporate objectives, this proven Manager will:
- Identify and respond to business opportunities for Hot Zone through client relations, responses to Requests for Proposals, and Requests for Quotation (RFP/RFQ).
- Support the recruitment and manage the overall training, development, and performance standards of all staff employed under Hot Zone’s Hazardous Material and Occupational Hygiene Division.
- Implement the Division’s quality assurance program and employee training and development program while highlighting changing marketing conditions and business opportunities for Hot Zone.
- Manage projects and the Division’s budget, providing fiscal budgets, and monthly and quarterly forecasting updates.
- Hold a College or University education background in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety Environment, Technical Field and Laboratory, or similar.
- Possess 10-15 years of diverse experience providing hazardous building material assessments, consulting, and remediation services for various clientele, including property management firms, REITs, healthcare providers, government and educational institutions.
- Ideally possess 5-10 years of project management experience and 3-5 years of experience managing a hazardous materials/occupational hygiene division or department.
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a small to mid-sized dynamic consulting team, client portfolio, and stakeholder demands.
- Be required to travel across Canada 20%-30% of the time and support projects that may occur on evenings and weekends as needed.
- Need to maintain a valid G license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a booster.
