Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, accountable, and results-driven Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential apartment buildings. This role requires an ownership mindset, with a focus on maximizing occupancy, ensuring building upkeep, and managing day-to-day tenant relations.

Key Responsibilities
- Full Portfolio Ownership: Take complete responsibility for the performance of assigned buildings, including occupancy rates, arrears collections, maintenance coordination, and tenant satisfaction.
- Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate with maintenance managers, live-in superintendents, and external contractors to ensure timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital projects.
- Financial Performance: Manage building budgets, control expenses, track arrears, and monitor financial performance metrics aligned with company targets.
- Operational Execution: Ensure move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and lease renewals are executed with precision. Resolve issues decisively and avoid bureaucratic delays.
- Team Leadership: Lead and hold accountable the site coordinators, leasing agents, and building staff under your portfolio.
- Professional Representation: Act as the face of Templeton Properties to tenants, contractors, and the community with professionalism in conduct, appearance, and communication.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in property management or a related field.
- Strong operational and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and multiple buildings.
- Decisive and action-oriented—able to identify problems and execute solutions quickly.
- Proficient in property management software (e.g., Buildium, Yardi, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Nova Scotia tenancy laws and building operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
