**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Support the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of meaningful activities relating to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of residents and guests
- Lead and promote resident awareness and participation, in leisure, social and recreation programs that meet their needs and interests
- Assist with the maintenance of appropriate records including attendance, assessments and evaluations of planned programs and charting
- Maintain effective communication and good human relations with residents, guests, families, volunteers and staff including keeping them informed of current and upcoming events
- Assists in the direction and supervision of participants in volunteer and student placement programs
- Coordinate the transportation of participants to and from outside events including driving a company vehicle when needed

**Qualifications**
- Energetic, compassionate and caring person who enjoys working with seniors
- Diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Leisure Studies and/or Gerontology is considered an asset
- Prior experience in recreation programming for a senior population is preferred
- Valid Serve It Right certification
- Valid Forever In Motion Leader Certification
- Proven computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Literacy with Canva Graphic Design Software is considered an asset
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language
- Able to work with mínimal supervision and possess a strong ability to problem solve
- Able to multi-task and work well independently and in a team environment
- Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Class 4 Drivers License
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Driving record that meets companies insurance requirements
- Willingness to transport individuals using company vehicles

Schedules may include some day, evening and weekend shifts

Onsite parking available
